Justice and Mercy in the Law of God // Exodus 21:12–36
God’s law in Exodus 21:12–36 reveals justice that protects life, promotes responsibility, and makes room for mercy. Pastor Josh Thompson explains capital crimes vs. accidental death (cities of refuge), honor for parents, God’s defense of the vulnerable, and why “eye for eye” restrains revenge. He closes by pointing to the cross where justice and mercy meet, calling us to make repairs where we’ve harmed others and to extend the forgiveness we’ve received.
